Our Public Sector client has an immediate requirement for 2 Castle Stewards to join their team at Urquhart Castle. No two days are the same, and we are looking for someone who will enjoy both the challenges and rewards of working at this historically important and inspiring monument.
Working hours - 7 days 09:05 to 17:05
Post 1 - working: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday
Post 2 - working: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Due to the location having your own transport is desirable. Urquhart Castle is approximately 15 miles outside Inverness on the banks of Loch Ness.
A Basic Disclosure issued within the last 12 months is required or you must be willing to apply for one.

Main duties:
  • You will work as part of the visitor centre and car park team at Urquhart Castle operating tills within the admission and retail areas and overseeing the car park.
  • Handle visitor enquiries
  • Ensure all areas of the visitor centre are presented and maintained to a high standard
  • Ensure the smooth running of the car and coach park by directing visitors, contractors and colleagues to their parking spaces. Keeping all designated parts of the car park clean and tidy
Skills/Experience required:
  • Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous customer service experience within tourism would be advantageous
