Job title: Social Housing Carpenter

Location: SLOUGH

Charge rate: CIS £18-£20 per hour

Job type: 3months temp - perm

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join a social housing maintenance team. As a Social Housing Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring residents have well-maintained and safe homes. You will work on various repair and maintenance projects, contributing to the overall satisfaction of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform carpentry repairs and maintenance in social housing properties.
  • Install, repair, and replace doors, windows, cabinets, and other carpentry elements.
  • Identify and assess housing issues, providing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete work orders.
  • Ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Uphold safety and quality standards at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in social housing or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualification in Carpentry/ working towards
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant certifications.
