Working Supervisor - Carpenter / Multi-trader

Newbury

£42k to £48k plus company van & fuel card

Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch ) are recruiting for our client based in Newbury that provides construction services, facilities management and project management. They are looking to recruit an 'on-the-tools' carpenter/multi trade working supervisor.

About the role...

Focusing mainly on their commercial and industrial projects (no residential), Carpentry will be your primary skill. Other skills include working with the wider team in general builder format (excludes electrical and plumbing). You will be working in industrial and commercial occupied buildings, offices and warehouses, and working jobs released on a PDA.

Weekend working may be required from time to time (includes Sat and Sun) - Saturdays paid at time and a half, Sundays paid at double time.

21 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday

Must be willing to travel, stay away from home very occasionally which the company will pay for.

About you...

  • Experienced 'hands-on' carpenter with a minimum of NVQ2 in carpentry
  • Working supervisor or working foreman experience as you will also be expected to supervise contractors on site locations
  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
  • Professional and friendly as this will be a client facing role
  • Computer literacy
  • Able to turn your hand to other general building tasks to assist the wider team (excludes electrical & plumbing)
  • CSCS
  • SSSTS OR SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Any other tickets/qualifications will be advantageous
