Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Our Client School in Harpenden is working with Timeplan Education to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their, hard working and dynamic team.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Harpenden
Hours: Full-time, Long-term basis
Salary: £80-£95 per day

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in working with SEN individuals, particularly those with SEMH & ASD.
  • Full-time availability with a commitment to a long-term position.
  • Passion for working with SEN and a determination to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
  • Confident in your approach and self-motivated to contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Previous experience as a Care Worker or Support Worker is advantageous.
  • Ideal for a psychology graduate aiming to build on SEN experience before pursuing a PhD.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Preferably a driver due to the location of the school.

Responsibilities:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide support to students with SEMH & ASD.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals.
  • Demonstrate a confident and motivated approach to student development.
