Cloud Recruit has partnered with an industry-leading social care provider. Join a dedicated team of Care and Support Facilitators based in the Cheltenham area. This organisation is committed to assisting young people, with complex disabilities maximise on their college experience, whilst foster a sense of independence.

The students encompass a wide range of both learning and physical disabilities. As a care and support worker, you will play a vital role within this interdisciplinary team, providing personalised care to facilitate students' access to education and the pursuit of their aspirations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive personal care; washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and assistance with feeding.
  • Assisting in the classroom and other learning environments, collaborating closely with educational professionals and tutors.
  • Planning, and supporting high-quality leisure activities; community outings, visits to cinemas, pubs, and restaurants, or facilitating students' pursuit of their favourite hobbies or sports.
  • Document student progress towards their goals.
  • Collaborate with family members to facilitate open communication between students, parents, friends, and relatives, whilst providing updates on activities and progress.
  • Administering medication to residents in adherence to policies and procedures, following appropriate training.

A significant number of the students reside on campus during term-time. As a Care and Support worker, you will be assigned to a specific residence, allowing you to build strong relationships with a small group of students and assist them with their daily routines. Witnessing the progress students make towards independence is an incredibly rewarding experience.
