Project Manager |Temporary | £300 - £350 per day 

Client:

We are looking for a Capital Projects Manager for a Healthcare organisation experiencingan exciting period of expansion and growth. The role will manage and fulfil the full range of duties in the implementation of building and engineering works as part of the organisations Capital Programme. It will work closely with key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

Duties will include:

  • Lead a small Capital Projects Team to manage and monitor works
  • Advance level knowledge of design, building, planning & construction regulations in large hospitals
  • A clear understanding of issues facing the NHS
  • Successful track record of capital & major revenue schemes at an operational level in a hospital environment
  • Knowledge & understanding of the complex integration of engineering & building services involved within planning, design & implementation of schemes
  • Health & Safety legislation
  • Develop and monitor project programmes
  • Liaise with senior management, service users and design teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Set up and manage construction contracts
  • Manage the appointment of consultants and contractors
  • Manage budget costs associated with capital projects

Person:

  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Previous experience of working within public buildings would be advantageous
  • Architectural or Construction background essential
