An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Capital Projects Manager on a fixed term contract until December 2025 based in Oxfordshire. This role takes responsibility for leading the effective management of Capital projects ensuring projects are completed within budgets and timescales.

Your duties will include:

  • Leading and managing the client briefing process, accurately identifying the end user’s requirements, outlining the scope and aspirations of the project
  • Appointing and managing multi-disciplinary design teams and coordinating the design process
  • Procuring main contractors using JCT, NEC3 etc. forms of contract and project managing large schemes
  • Dealing with external agencies such as planners, building control, the Environment Agency etc., to gain statutory approvals
  • Specifying and procuring furniture, fittings, and equipment (FFE)
  • Managing project risks, value engineering, change control and producing routine project progress reports
  • Developing and delivering minor projects programmes
  • Working as a client-side project manager, providing an interface between the project teams and the College, taking a strategic view focussed on ensuring each project delivers the expected outcomes and benefits to the organisation and stakeholders

The successful candidate should have:

  • Experience of managing projects between £500K to £2million
  • Knowledge of JCT/NEC3 contracts
  • You must have experience delivering capital projects within the Education sector
