Capital Tax Accountant Position Overview

Capital Allowance Analysis:

Conduct comprehensive reviews of clients' capital expenditure to identify potential capital allowances and tax relief opportunities.

Analyse tangible assets, such as machinery, equipment, and buildings, to determine their eligibility for capital allowances under relevant tax legislation.

Tax Planning and Optimization:

Develop tax planning strategies to optimize clients' capital allowance claims and minimize their tax liabilities.

Provide expert advice on structuring transactions and investments to maximize available capital allowances and tax relief.

Client Consultation:

Consult with clients to explain the concept of capital allowances, their eligibility criteria, and the potential tax benefits.

Advise clients on the documentation and evidence required to support capital allowance claims and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Claim Preparation and Submission:

Prepare accurate and timely capital allowance claims, including the compilation of supporting documentation and calculations.

Liaise with tax authorities and assist clients in submitting capital allowance claims and responding to any inquiries or audits.

Legislative Compliance:

Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation, case law, and regulatory developments related to capital allowances.

Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in preparing capital allowance claims.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive advice and personalized service to address their tax needs.

Collaborate with other members of the tax team to identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver integrated tax solutions to clients.

Capital Tax Accountant Position Requirements

  • ACCA, or ACA, or CTA is preferred
  • 5 years experience working within accounting and tax
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • UK resident with full working visa

Capital Tax Accountant Position Remuneration

  • Salary depending on experience, can range from £40k+
  • A range of benefits to be discussed
