Canteen Cook

We are looking for a Canteen Cook to step into a busy environment, could this be you?
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring employees are well-fed and satisfied during their workdays. Your culinary skills and attention to food safety will contribute to a positive dining experience. Here's what you'll be doing:

Temporary
Pay - £12.50ph

1. Breakfast Preparation and Service:

• Prepare and serve delicious breakfast options for our staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen during breakfast hours.
• Ensure prompt and friendly service to kickstart everyone's day.

1. Lunch Service from a Set Menu:

• Follow the daily menu provided by the team.
• Prepare and serve lunch items efficiently.
• Keep an eye on portion sizes and presentation to maintain quality.

1. Food Hygiene and Safety:

• Strictly adhere to food safety guidelines and hygiene practices.
• Regularly sanitize work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
• Record daily and weekly hygiene checks to maintain compliance.

1. Assist the Catering Team:

• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Help with cleaning tasks, including dishwashing and kitchen maintenance.
• Support as a kitchen porter when needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
