CAM Programmer

Gloucester - permanent - On Site full Time - M-F 37 Hour week - Up to £45k DOE

Are you a CAM Programmer looking to join a growing Production company on a permanent basis? Manufacturing complex components for the Rail, Motorsport, Marine & Aerospace sectors in a fast-paced environment.

UsingOneCNCCAM for the programming of components in composite materials, generateNCprogrammes in-line with internal manufacturing best-practices and procedures on both CNC Routers & Vertical Machining Centres.

The Role:

  • Offline programming usingOneCNC.
  • Create and validate 3, 4 and 5 axis programmes and supporting documentation.
  • Proving out 1st off programmes before handing over to production.
  • Aid machine operators and provide recommendations to allow optimization of processes and machine tool capabilities.
  • Ability to work from solid models, 2D drawings.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Contribute to positive teamwork environment.

The Person:

  • Experience ofOneCNCispreferred but not essential.
  • Experience programming complex 5 axis parts (3+2) -minimum 3 years programming.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to manage own time & workload.
  • StrongVerbaland written communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of cutting tools & work-holding.
  • Some CNC turning knowledgeadvantageous but not essential.
