Location: Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex

Salary: £19k - £28k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

The Client:

Our client, a reputable company in the calibration industry, delivers exceptional services to industries including automotive, defense, and biomedical.

The Role:

As a Calibration Technician, you will oversee daily facility operations and install calibration items in the relevant rigs.

Requirements:

• Previously worked as a Calibration Technician or in a similar role.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a workshop or laboratory setting.
• Educational background of Grade C in Mathematics and Science subjects or an equivalent diploma (Ideal)
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail.

Duties:

• Modify test rigs and piping systems to meet specific test requirements
• Troubleshoot and investigate issues as they arise
• Process calibration results, certificates, and labeling
• Verify and approve calibration certificates before signatory sign-off
• Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory, associated areas, fittings, and tools
• Handle technical correspondence with customers
• Provide input to management regarding continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in peer assessments, internal investigations, and UKAS assessment visits
• Ensure calibration equipment is calibrated, functional, and fit for purpose
• Meet customer turnaround time requirements
• Identify and implement cost reduction solutions
• Identify potential new income sources and facility upgrades.
