CAD Technician

We offer specialised guidance in solar PV and various renewable energy and electrical engineering topics, we currently need someone with experience in the ever-growing renewable energy sector. Site based from Oundle, Northamptonshire with some hybrid flexibility.

BASIC SALARY: £30,000 – £40,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: CAD Technician - Renewables, Civil 3D

As our CAD Technician you will contribute significantly to the advancement of utility-scale photovoltaic, solar and battery storage projects, working closely with the senior engineering staff.
You will also:
· Be responsible for creating utility scale solar and battery park spatial designs.
· Utilise Helios 3D, a special design package we use – we will teach you how to use it, you don’t have prior knowledge.
· Take charge of company CAD standards, playing a pivotal role in generating our CAD layout drawings and ensuring compliance with design protocols.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: CAD Technician - Renewables, Civil 3D

You MUST be an experienced CAD Technician with competency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
You will also have:
· Worked in Civil Engineering / Civil Construction and have a good understanding of topographical surveys and basic road layout mapping.
· Proficiency in 3D & Building Information Modelling (BIM) using Revit.
· Architecture/MEP experience is advantageous.
