Our client is a world class manufacturer within the bespoke door industry. For over 50 years they have specialised in providing door solutions all over the world. They have produced and installed more than 200,000 door sets for clients in over 40 countries and are the chosen supplier to the world's top 20 pharmaceutical, health and food companies. Their facilities produce superior products that are more hygienic, more intelligent, easier to clean, more durable, with a higher quality finish. Doors capable of resisting fire, water, laser and x-ray. Doors that are fire certified in over 50 countries.
They are now seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Technician who has a strong ethic, to join their professional and friendly team based in Hull.

The CAD technician's role will be to work as a member of a cross functional project team involved in the design, manufacture and installation detailing of customer specified door sets. As part of this role, the CAD technician will create CAD drawings and models that reflect the customer's requirements on each order. Along with schematics and fabrication drawings for the manufacturing processes.

THE ROLE:
Preparation of 3D Models. Elevations, Sections and Fixing Detail drawings for submission to Architects, Engineers and Clients.
Produce Steelwork fabrication drawings.
Liaise with Project Team to ensure compliance with specification and budget.
Input data to software package for the production of BOM, Cutting Lists and Worksheets for use on shop floor.
Attend site meetings/resolve site issues relating to windows, doors and other products as the need arises.
Liaise with internal company departments to ensure project programs are maintained.

Working hours either 9.00am to 5.00pm or 8.30am to 4.30pm

The candidate
Our client is looking for a person with a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a face paced drawing office and be willing to adapt and get on with the job as circumstances change.
3D & 2D Draughting Skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential, qualification beneficial.
7-10 years of experience in a construction environment with SolidWorks, Auto CAD and BIM knowledge.
Confident with MS office software packages.
Ability to understand and interpret information and drawings provided by Clients.
Technically minded.
Good time management skills.
Knowledge and previous experience within the design and detailing of windows, doors, and curtain walling beneficial.
