CAD Estimator

Recruit Moore have been approached by our client in Ferndown to support them in finding a CAD Project Engineer.

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join a growing business in the flexible office market.

Our client is looking for a CAD Project Engineer to join the team to help accelerate its exciting plans to expand their property portfolio in this fast-growing sector. The candidate will report to the contracts manager and work closely with all key stakeholders.

Your role will be to provide accurate CAD designs and produce quotations for office and property refurbishment that comply with client specification, company standards, guidelines and all legal regulations.

Duties to include -

• Reviewing client and team requests for construction, compiling of scope, risks involved and tender considerations.
• Creating CAD designs for client
• Preparation of costings, including cost of materials, transport, labour and equipment hire
• Reading blueprints and taking measurements
• Making visits to sites when required
• Placing purchase orders
• Interaction with site teams, clients and senior management
• Managing project time scales to completion
• Oversee CAD team

Skills required -

• 10 years experience using CAD
• CAD qualification would be an advantage
• A good knowledge and understanding of the latest Health & Safety legislation and Building Regulations.
• A good understanding of construction is required
• Experience within the office refurbishment industry would be desirable but not essential
• The ability to fit in well, work as a team member, have initiative and enthusiasm.
• Good communication skills, liaising with clients and good working attitude with site management
• You will be well organised and capable of meeting deadlines.
• Good maths and IT skills are essential, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and Outlook is required.
• Full UK driving license
