CAD Engineer

Job Role: CAD Design Engineer

Location: Sutton-In-Ashfield

Shift & Salary: Days, £25,000-30,000

Metalis is working with an innovative infrastructure and architectural solutions manufacturer who, due to continued growth are looking for a CAD Design Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

The successful CAD Design Engineer will work within a dynamic team, implementing their knowledge of Engineering, CAD and 3D modelling within the working practices of the department.

Duties of the CAD Design Engineer:

• BOM production and Cost-analysis
• Customer Liaison
• A level of project management
• Cad drawing / 3D modelling
• Product development, design & continual improvement
• Attendance to site and or of customer facilities for project discussion when required
• Attendance to project sites to carry out site measures using survey equipment

Experience of the CAD Design Engineer:

Essential:

• Previous experience in an engineering / fabrication environment
• Personable, presentable, and articulate
• A sound understanding of manufacturing, engineering/fabrication principles
• Strong administration, organisation, and communication skills
• IT proficient with experience in CAD and 3D modelling (Ideally AutoCad and Solid Works)

Preferable:

• A degree or HNC/HND in an engineering discipline
• Experience in site surveying
