CAD Designer

Salary: Dudley

Location: £30,000 - £40,000

Job Summary:
My client is seeking a talented and experienced CAD Designer to join their team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and models using various software programs including inventor and Auto Cad. You will work closely with clients to translate their concepts into accurate and precise designs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for design and a strong attention to detail.

Duties:

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Sketchup, MicroStation, and other CAD software
  • Collaborate with clients to develop design concepts and specifications
  • Prepare accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from team members
  • Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations
  • Conduct quality checks on completed designs to identify any errors or inconsistencies
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including material lists and cost estimates
  • Stay updated on the latest CAD software advancements and industry trends

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of construction (joinery)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate designs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders
