Perm role, £33,280 to £35,360 pa, Days, Mon to Fri, 23 Holidays + B.H

Interaction Recruitment are looking for an experienced CAD Designer and Detailer to work for a busy and growing Manufacturing/Engineering company based near to Wetherby.

Working within the Design Team, you will be responsible for analysing project specifications and preparing design and detailing drawings for the Manufacturing Department. As a project lead, you will be responsible for your own client projects from the design/drawing stage to manufacture,

finishing and dispatch. Other day to day tasks for this role will include:

-Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work specifications

-Identify areas of design concerns and resolve the issues prior to manufacture

-Work with Project Managers and the Workshop Manager throughout the detailing and full manufacturing process

-Assist fabricators in clarifying and interpreting designs and details

-Communicate with clients and contractors throughout the process

-Completing timecards, making job reports and preparing as-built drawings if required

-Attending weekly meetings with the management team, reporting on progress

-Proactively promote the Company and its capabilities to clients

To be successful, you must have a minimum of 2 years CAD Designing experience behind you, along with other key skills that include:

-Experience using Radan, Fusion 360 and Solidworks

-In-depth knowledge of CAD software and CNC cutting/forming machinery operating software

-Knowledge and understanding of the process involved with steel fabrication

-Excellent attention to detail

-Ability to follow instructions, specifications and production schedules

-Able to make decisions and act quickly on/escalate any problems which arise

-Good communication and client-facing skills

-Flexible and adaptable attitude to both work and working hours

-Able to work under pressure and prioritise multiple tasks

You will be required to work 40hrs per week, 7am to 3.45pm from Mon to Fri. The role is advertised as Permanent and with a starting salary of £33,280 pa which will rise to £35,360 after a successful probation period.
