Job Title: CAD Technician Engineer- Metal Fabrication

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience

My client has many capabilities some of which include:

• Site measuring.
• Site fitting of the fabrications.
• CAD drawings produced from customer sketches.
• Manufacture on "one off" & production basis.
• Machine breakdown repairs and replacement components manufactured.
• Sheet metalwork
• Structural steelwork
• Water jet cutting
• Machining
• Welding, MIG, TIG, ARC

Job Description:

As a CAD Technician Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of metal products that serve both bespoke and commercial needs. Working closely with our engineering and fabrication teams, you will be responsible for:

• Creating detailed CAD drawings and 3D models for custom metal projects.
• Collaborating with project managers and clients to understand their specific requirements.
• Providing technical support to the fabrication team, ensuring accurate and efficient manufacturing.
• Conducting quality checks and assisting in product testing and validation.
• Continuously improving design processes and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications:

• To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
• Proven experience in CAD design, preferably in the field of metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and the ability to create accurate technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
