Are you a talented Senior CAD Designer, with proven experience in interior design? Looking to join a leading interior fit-out practice in a pivotal client facing role? Look no further!

Our Wiltshire-based client is looking for a CAD Design Manager to join their growing and innovative business. Working from their lovely office, you will be creating luxury and functional interiors for high-end medical practices and other commercial clients, this is a varied role with a firm focus on technical detailing.

Offering up to £55,000pa plus great company benefits, you’ll be an integral part of delivering client projects and will be involved in all aspects of the design process. In the role of CAD Design Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Liaising with clients to grasp their design preferences, requirements, and project goals.
  • Generating creative design concepts that meet client expectations and company standards.
  • Preparing mood boards, sketches, 2D/3D renderings, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to clients.
  • Holding client meetings to gather requirements, present proposals, and gather feedback.
  • Addressing client concerns and adapting designs based on feedback.
  • Creating detailed design specifications for materials, finishes, and fixtures.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to source appropriate materials within budget.
  • Producing accurate drawings and technical documentation for construction.
  • Coordinating with project stakeholders for seamless execution.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices for compliance.

Requirements and skills for the role of CAD Design Manager are as follows:

  • Proven experience in interior design, preferably with a focus on commercial or office spaces.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering tools, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey design concepts to clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

The Role:

As CAD Design Manager, you’ll be stepping into a varied but rewarding role, working with businesses of all shapes and sizes to deliver their commercial interior fit-out projects.

Working closely with key clients, you’ll undertake thorough site visits and discovery sessions to understand the exact requirements and budgets. Working closely with the Commercial Project Manager and wider project delivery team, you’ll produce comprehensive, technical drawings, ensuring each design concept aligns with budgets, finishes, fixtures and furnishings.

A crucial part of our client’s creative team, you’ll be adept at working on multiple projects at once, communicating with internal stakeholders at all stages and delivering designs on time.
