C++ Software Engineer (Motorsport), Oxfordshire. £35,000 - £50,000
  
Our client are a globally recognised motorsport brand and are seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join their team to deliver continuous improvement of simulation tools and models.
  
This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity. This unique and hugely rewarding role will see the successful candidate developing and maintaining lap simulation tools.
  
The responsibilities of the C++ Software Engineer include:
  • Developing state-of-the-art simulation tools and related models that are easy to use, modify and maintain.
  • Integrating those tools and models with the wider software and data-handling infrastructure.
  • Supporting use of the tools for development and optimisation of vehicle performance.
  • Helping to create and maintain a plan for delivery of the tools and models.
  • Helping to define the development strategy.
  
The ideal C++ Software Engineer will have:
  • Excellent technical ability, with a strong degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Self-motivation, innovative ideas and will enjoy new challenges/problem-solving tasks.
  • A collaborative attitude with good teamworking ability.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • 1+ years of C++ development, ideally including experience with C++17/20.
  • Ideally experience of at least one of the following:
    • o Optimal control
    • o Automatic differentiation
    • o Vehicle modelling
    • o Multi body dynamics
