My client is the world's largest manufacturer of instruments and motor speed controllers. Their products are supplied into a variety of sectors including Industrial, Medical, Material Handling and others. They are experiencing rapid growth and looking for a seasoned C++ Software Engineer - EV to join their team at the Northampton site on a hybrid basis.

The responsibilities involved in the C++ Software Engineer - EV job, based in Northampton, will include:

  • The role will primarily be a mixture of software development and commissioning of Industrial Electric Vehicle (EV) systems where good project management, customer interface and technical expertise will be expected
  • Provide In-house product support for staff and customers
  • System Integration experience

Key skills and experience required for the C++ Software Engineer - EV job based in Northampton are:

  • BSc in Electronics Engineering, or equivalent in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Motorsport Engineering
  • Experience of working with software, and electronic systems and the associated tool environment
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle (ideally V model methodology)
  • Ideally experience in one of the following industries, automotive/motorsport, materials handling, construction, or EV.
