Our client is a leading electronics manufacturer. Due to continued growth in size and order book, we are looking for an experienced Buyer within the industry to join the team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Buyer to join the procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, quoting, and purchasing within the electronics manufacturing industry. The Buyer will play a critical role in ensuring that the company procures materials and components at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct sourcing activities to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for materials and components required for manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze RFQs (Request for Quotes) and prepare competitive bids for materials and components based on project requirements and cost considerations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier diversification.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics such as quality, delivery, and responsiveness, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, and purchasing, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain processes, and sourcing strategies.
  • Experience with RFQ analysis, quoting, and negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
