I am excited to announce an opening for a Buyer to join a growing Procurement team based in Deeside. If you have a background in manufacturing, experience in purchasing raw materials and a strong understanding of the Procurement process; I’d want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain supply of key materials, maximizing volume purchasing benefits.
• Develop supplier strategies to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Meet target costs without compromising on quality.
• Undertake strategic sourcing activities using established business tools and templates.
• Support the development and communication of sourcing strategies shaping purchasing decisions.
• Purchase goods, materials, components, or services aligning with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Monitor market trends and supply chain strategies ensuring competitiveness.
• Provide analysis on costs and engage in cost reduction activities.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to explore opportunities for continuous business improvements.

• Self confidence with strong interpersonal skills, an excellent communicator with the ability to liase with people at all levels.
• Flexibility and ability to multitask.
• Self motivated with a “hands on” results driven approach.
• Strong systems skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. 
• Experience in a buying / negotiation role.
• CIPS qualification or similar.
• ERP experience ideally SAP
