This role seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Purchasing professional who is keen on developing their career within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services to ensure the company's operational needs are met.

Our client is a well-established organisation within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry. Their operations are based in Leigh, where they have earned a reputation as a market leader in their field.
Description
- Procure goods, materials, and services to meet the company's requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships and maintain good communications.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders and contracts in line with company policies.
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers.
- Review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and procedures.
Profile
A successful Buyer should have:
- Proven experience in a procurement role
- An understanding of Purchasing within Supply Chain
- Desire to learn and be mentored to grow their skills
- Negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Job Offer
- A salary of up to £34,000 per year
