We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering / Technical Buyer, to work for a company who are at the forefront of the Electronics / Manufacturing industry.

This role has been created to support a number of senior buyers who are primarily responsible for material supply to the production teams.

You will work in a small and intricate Purchasing team, with your general responsibilities focussing around the purchasing and sourcing of electronics components, PCB's, and other commodities for various projects

Buyer Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have procurement experience within the Electronics industry, ideally from a CEM or business that covers electronics manufacturing.
• Strong demonstrable background in sourcing a wide variety of components and materials
• You should have experience in helping to suggest and possibly deliver cost savings and lead time reduction through strong supply stage strategies
• Candidates should be experienced in using MRP, ERP or SAP systems
• You will need to have good MS Excel experience- vLook Up and Pivot Table experience is an advantage
• Any form of CIPS / CILT / APICS qualification would also be extremely advantageous
• Knowledge of ISO9001 / 13485 standards is also very beneficial

Buyer Responsibilities:

• Regularly place PO's for materials and services in SAP.
• Receive & process all order acknowledgements.
• Be responsible for purchasing a range of components and complex products with a range in values
• Collect and collate quotes to help with analysing and negotiating with suppliers and customers.
• To expedite purchase orders and update the SAP ERP system accordingly.
• To create deliveries of subcontract materials to subcontract partners in the SAP ERP.
• To ensure purchasing records are maintained in good order and the ERP system is continuously updated.
