We are seeking a Graduate Buyer to join a dynamic purchasing team. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a keen interest in procurement and negotiation.

The successful candidate will help manage a portfolio of commodity categories, driving profitable growth for the organisation through strategic negotiation and data analysis.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support the implementation and delivery of a product strategy for a portfolio of products across specific commodity areas.

• Assist with customer quotation requests and negotiate cost and terms with a portfolio of suppliers.

• Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.

• Collect and maintain data to support strategic supplier management and maximise opportunities across the commodity categories.

• Monitor commodity performance and produce associated reports regularly.

• Manage contract balances with the Trading Coordinator and produce commodity market reports.

• Liaise with Regional Sales teams on new product information and commodity fluctuations due to market movements.

• Support the management of procurement administrative areas to ensure accurate records, including pricing, promotions, and trading agreements.

• Work closely with the trading team members and other departments to ensure operational efficiency.

• Present to senior management when required and adhere to instructions given by Management.

• Promote customer excellence throughout the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Sound Excel skills.

• A formal degree (any course)

• Good communication skills.

• Resilience and the ability to work independently.

• Desirable: Market knowledge, basic industry experience, commercial awareness.

• Valid UK driving licence is preferred.
