JOB TITLE: Buyer/Planner

LOCATION: Melksham

SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000

WAY OF WORKING: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08.30 - 5 and Friday’s 08.30 - 4

THE BUSINESS:

C4S-search are pleased to be partnering with a specialist in the engineering and manufacturing of respiratory protection equipment for military, law enforcement and fire personnel.

THE BUYER/PLANNER OPPORTUNITY:

• Oversee sales orders input into the system.
• Participate in contract reviews for received orders, upcoming orders, and tenders.
• Generate work orders necessary for sales orders and prioritize them with production.
• Manage procurement of components and maintain communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, aligning with production schedules.
• Provide lead times to Customer Services for order fulfillment.
• Ensure smooth demand flow through MRP system.
• Monitor incoming shipments, resolve exceptions, and expedite when necessary.
• Advise on inventory status and investigate/resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor supply and demand, submit purchase requisitions for discrete purchase orders.

YOUR KEY SKILLS:

• Sage X3, previous planning experience using MRP.
• Experience with planning (preferred).
