Do you have an idea of the salary bracket for this role? - we would pay a basic of up to £41k plus bonuses. To give you an idea my Team Leaders earnt £5k in bonuses this year

How big is the team they’d be team leader of? - They would have 7 direct reports but jointly looking after a team of 15 with another Team Leader

Is it an operational role as well as a people management one? - Primarily a people management role with some operational duties too.

I’m guessing its being advertised internally as well, what would you need to see from someone external to make them stand out? - People management experience and skills is key for me. Someone who has a strong background within the industry. Groups experience is a bonus but not a deal breaker as we can guide them through that.

The role of Team Leader sits within the Group Air team and will work in conjunction with the Senior Managers of the department. Primarily a people management role, it's perfect for someone who loves getting the best out of their team and recognises everyone in it as individuals (and treats them accordingly!) There's no micro management here, you'll be given the tools you need to empower your team, to guide and support them from a position of trust and respect.

Who will the Team Leader role suit?

This position is ideal for you if you're a current Lead Agent or Team Leader within a Business Travel capacity
You'll need to have great knowledge of a GDS (air) as although this role only requires you to have operational duties on a limited basis, you'll need to be on hand to guide the team with your experience.
You'll be happy to work 3 days a week in the London office and 2 from home (Mondays are required in the office as one of the days)
Displaying inspirational and positive vibes, you'll be a pillar of support for your team.
A strong people manager, you'll be able to chat to us about your leadership style and share examples of different scenarios surrounding the people you've managed
