My client is an insurance company who specialises in Underwriting within the Lloyds of London insurance market. The specialise is lots of areas including Marine Cargo, Hotels, Contractors, Property and Terrorism to name a few.

This is a great role for a BSA with SQL who wants to work locally and who wants to learn about insurance.

Ideally, we would like someone who either lives in Watford or very close. My client is very close to Watford train station.

They are looking for a BSA with SQL experience to come in and join an existing team. You DO NOT need to have insurance experience.

They are a 40 strong team using Websure systems. Their x 3 person IT team write in SQL script and logic to define underwriting rules, referral points and rating decisions for underwriters.

They also produced output documentation, written largely in HTML and reports in what is a similar structure and style to Crystal.

They promote scheme to our Web portal and give support to brokers accessing the system.

We need someone with good SQL experience and some of the below..

Proven Analysis ability

Strong, logical investigative skills.

Ability to learn and understand Insurance and Financial Applications and functionality.

Candidate should be able to configure software applications for Client requirements.

Ability to understand Business and System process flows and design appropriate solutions.

Good Verbal and written communications.

Must assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work product.

Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of issues / tasks.

The competent use and understanding of standard office IT applications.
