Reed Talent Solutions are currently working with a nationwide NHS Organisation to recruit a Business Manager on an initial three month contract. The post-holder will play a pivotal part in supporting the day-to-day work assigned in relation to all business and administration matters across the Transformation directorate’s business areas. The role supports the directorate in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning, and service.

Role Information

  • NHS Agenda for Change Band 7: £43,742 - £45,996
  • 3-month initial contract with likelihood of extension
  • Fully remote working with occasional travel to London or Leeds

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day work assigned in relation to all business matters across the organisation’s business areas, to drive transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service, in a fast paced programme with continuous change.
  • Minute taking and secretariat.
  • Line and matrix management.
  • Developing and implementing a content management system to ensure information is properly managed.
  • Accurate reporting to specific workstream teams, specific workstream steering panels; and Programme Board
  • Liaise with appropriate functions within the 'Business Management.
  • Support key stakeholders of the business.
  • Identification and management of any business-related risks and issues
  • Support, motivate and develop people within the team, including line and matrix management.
  • Manage interactions between other internal functions as required.
  • Oversight and management of all aspects of the team budgets.
  • Support the portfolio of initiatives in demonstrating value for money for the current spend.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build the right relationships internally (both with the senior management team and individual team members) and with stakeholder and members.
  • Ability to offer constructive and well thought through support advice and guidance.
  • An excellent knowledge of office systems and software to provide the level of secretarial administrative support required to do the job effectively.
