I am delighted to be working with a global law firm and assisting in the recruitment of a Business Intelligence Manager. This role will be part of the firm’s global BI team and work closely with other firm functions, e.g., Finance, IT and Conflicts, HR and M&BD in designing and delivering global projects and solutions.

As part of this role, you will delve deeply into understanding the firm's systems and resources, encompassing both financial and non-financial aspects, to conduct comprehensive strategic analyses. This includes internal resources such as the Finance Reporting Hub and the Research 101 resources page, as well as external resources like Chambers & Partners, Amlaw, and D&B Hoovers. You will actively participate in scoping, building, and implementing Client Intelligence tools, PowerBI Dashboards, and other necessary tools. Additionally, you'll support the Senior BI Manager and M&BD leadership by providing insightful research and analysis on various aspects including economic and political climates, competitors, and clients. Managing reporting requirements for Practice, Regional, and Client and Sector teams will also be part of your responsibilities. You'll develop market and client intelligence resources such as industry newsletters and client dossiers, while also contributing to the global M&BD department's budgets and being involved in the annual budget setting process. Occasionally, you may contribute to broader firm projects, particularly those related to systems and technology, leveraging your knowledge of the firm's data. Furthermore, you'll provide input into the team's strategy and goal setting, potentially taking on line management responsibilities for two junior team members, and ensuring workload balance across the team while maintaining oversight of day-to-day workflows.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess extensive experience in finance, research, and business analysis, complemented by a relevant post-graduate qualification in finance or management such as a Financial degree, preferably CIMA or equivalent, or an MBA. Proficiency in advanced usage of the Microsoft Office suite is essential, particularly Excel with expertise in Pivot tables, Power Pivot, and Power Query, accompanied by a high level of proficiency in PowerPoint. You will need to be able to excel in developing and managing analysis projects, crafting dashboards, and generating comprehensive reports.
