• Daily Rate: £550 – 600 per day inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Business Domain Architect to join our team, working on key technology functions within a prestigious and historic postal service provider. This role is crucial for defining and delivering technology solutions that align with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a high calibre leader with significant experience in architecture roles and a strong ability to influence and drive business strategies through technology.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Collaborate with Transformation Architects to shape early project designs, understand interdependencies, and align investment with strategic goals.
• Lead scoping for project business solutions post-investment, working alongside senior project management resources.
• Challenge, shape, and champion functional and enterprise strategies in collaboration with Transformation Architects.
• Assess threats and opportunities to strategic objectives, aiming to transform and optimize domain operating models and technology estate efficiency.
• Plan and guide technology-related business change in alignment with strategic objectives.
• Engage key business stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation to grow revenue, optimize cost, maintain compliance, and mitigate risk.
• Develop deliverables such as strategy on a page, business capability modelling, and investment roadmaps.
• Provide assessments to help business and IT leaders make informed IT
• Consult with technical experts to develop business solutions, advising on options, risks, and benefits.
• Collaborate with agile teams for continuous delivery of business value.
• Contribute to the development of principles, standards, and architectures informed by business strategy and governance.
• Develop ecosystem and business capability models to guide agile teams in product development and business outcomes.
• Lead and develop Business and Senior Business Analysts to improve capability and maturity levels.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Significant experience in Business/Solution/Enterprise Architecture or Business Partner roles.
• Fluent in industry-standard Business Architecture terms and adept at producing architecture artefacts.
• Demonstrable experience in developing technology-enabled business strategies.
• Influential verbal communicator and skilled facilitator.
• In-depth knowledge of different types of business and operating models.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Trusted thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders.
• Highly collaborative and supportive of business ideals and strategies.

Desirable:

• Experience in the logistics sector.
• Experience in consultancy work.
