Company Information

Our client is amongst the UK's largest pharmaceutical and chemical companies as a quality led supplier and service provider now looking for an experienced Business Development Specialist with Analytical Chemistry (or similar) sales experience to join the team.

Role Overview

This position entails collaborating with the Sales Manager to develop and execute effective sales strategies and driving the promotion and sale of company services and products. You would be travelling 50% of the time to customer sites across the UK selling services for HPLC and spectroscopy equipment into pharma, academia, food, water etc.

Key Duties

Collaborate with the Sales Manager to devise and execute effective sales strategies to meet or surpass company growth targets.

Drive the promotion and sale of company services and products.

Provide guidance and influence on portfolio and product strategy to align with company objectives.

Take ownership of a personal sales territory or segment to deliver targeted results.

Offer insights to shape pricing strategy for sustainable business growth and profitability.

Identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities with both existing and prospective customers.

Person Spec

Desirable experience in utilizing CRM for effective sales funnel management.

At least 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in analytical instrument and/or service sales, with a focus on HPLC, GC, MS, and molecular spectroscopy.

Understanding of the pharmaceutical and scientific research & development sector is preferred.

Demonstrated track record of sales success, including meeting territory and major account targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Proficiency in territory management, encompassing strategic planning, prioritization, and effective time management.
