Position: Molecular Genetics Business Development Specialist – Life Science
Department: Life Science
Salary: Up to £55,000 + 34-39% dependent upon salary offered + Company car
18 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (09:00-17:00)
Location: Field Based (Head office based in Milton Keynes)

Are you passionate about driving innovation in the life sciences sector? We’re seeking a Molecular Genetics Business Development Specialist to join a dynamic team within a Top 10, award winning organisation. As a Molecular Genetics Business Development Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal part in expanding our clients’ molecular genetics portfolio and fostering strategic relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer: Become the expert for MammaTyper® & PQS products, providing exemplary support to existing customers and developing new business opportunities.
Product: Maintain competency in our Molecular Genetics Portfolio, contributing to product development and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Sales Development: Create and implement sales activity plans, research new commercial opportunities and manage customer relationships.
Congresses/Conferences: Organise and attend industry events to showcase products and stay abreast of market trends.
Regulatory Affairs: Address regulatory issues promptly and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  
General Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficient in time management and prioritisation
Essential Requirements:
  • BSc (Hons) degree in Molecular Biology or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial role selling molecular biomarker/genetics/life science products
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to read and understand scientific literature
  • Good communicator and negotiator
Desirable Requirements:
  • Clinical and/or laboratory experience
  • Hands-on experience with PCR & NGS
  • Training qualifications
