Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will support and facilitate the development of new business, managing, maintaining, and maximising existing business and increasing brand presence and awareness. The role will involve calling customers over the phone and face to face meetings when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts for new and existing customers from sales to delivery
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Identify and understand the needs of the customers
  • Recommend appropriate products and services
  • Build and maintain new and existing accounts
  • Produce quotes and proposals for clients
  • Work closely with external Key Account Managers
  • Ensure all daily orders are processed and dispatched
  • Achieve KPI’s focussed on call statistics, sales figures, and product lines
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Confident in talking to customers, receiving in-coming calls, and making out-going calls

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a sales account management background ideally within lighting industry
  • Establish strong relationships with new clients by using your own initiative
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines / timeframes
  • Experience of sales by telephone
  • Understand the customer's needs and deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Full driving licence essential

Hours

Monday – Friday 0845am-1730pm

Salary

£25-30K depending on experience, £40K OTE)
