JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Business Development Manager - Silicone

DEPARTMENT: Sales

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB: to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential and existing clients.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To research and build relationships with potential new clients within the silicone market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities and turn this into increased business.

o To meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging of network.

Plan business development approaches and pitches and set up meetings with client decision makers and company leaders.

o Work within a team to develop proposals, including designing and pricing that meet the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.

o Present new products and services and enhance existing client relationships.

o

o Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

o Attend industry functions, such as exhibitions and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

o

o Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.

o

o Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.

o

o Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.

o Assimilate data accurately and submit progress reports. .

o

o Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's sales management system.

o

o Forecast sales targets and track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
