Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager : An award-winning luxury hotel company are recruiting for an experienced Business Development/Regional Sales Manager to cover the South of England. The role will be responsible for developing and building relationships within the travel sector, whilst increasing brand awareness within the trade for their portfolio of luxury properties. This role will be field based and covering the South of England and offers a salary up to £42,000 plus annual company bonus, company car and the opportunity to attend FAM Trips , conferences, and events on behalf of the business.

Business Development Manager responsibilities:
Conduct regular sales visits to travel agents and tour operators for presentations and product training.
Organising trade fam trips, press trips and hosted events in the UK.
Representing and selling products at consumer shows and trade events.
Assisting the Sales & Marketing Director with sales and contracting appointments.
Assisting in the research of new business from specialist tour operators and new groups business.
Ensuring the travel trade database and the Premier agent loyalty club is effectively managed and regularly updated.
Sending regular newsletters via email and social media to the travel trade on product updates, special offers and hosted events.

Business Development Manager Skills required:
Candidates will have at least 3 years' experience working in the UK travel industry from a sales or marketing background. The role will be based in Southern England with easy access required to London and the Southeast
Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
Well organised, creative and computer literate - Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Motivated, pro-active, and able to work on your own initiative as the role requires remote working across the UK.
UK Driving licence
