Blair West is supporting our client in finding a Business Development Manager. They are the UK market leaders in the security door sector, designed and manufactured for security purposes. Following on from a massive expansion plan that created a new external sales team, this growth platform continues to keep up with demand. This role will report directly to the National Sales Manager, who reports directly to the CEO. This newly created role through expansion is designed for someone who wants to take autonomy and control of their own destiny.

The opportunity:

  • Identify the key stakeholders, customers and targets within your region.
  • Develop a proactive plan to visit and engage with as many new customers as possible.
  • Ensure customers use internal technology to quote and order doors for the highest accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute weekly plans to engage with the market & new customers as efficiently as possible and ensure the region is covered entirely.
  • Promote the company’s products/services, addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Build long-term relationships with primarily new and existing customers.
  • Provided monthly sales forecasts and presented daily figures to the national sales manager.
  • Project management skills.

You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • A driven hunter sales mentality, who seeks to be present in the market and actively networking whenever possible.
  • A track record of delivering booming revenue-generating numbers, with a preference for direct B2B sales into the construction industry.
  • A result-driven yet customer-focused, commercially aware strong sales professional.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and the wider team.
  • Construction Market knowledge.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • Confidence with numbers, with excellent attention to detail and demonstrates a structured approach to work.
  • Experience in winning new business.
  • Experience in the manufacturing and engineering sector.
