Ford & Stanley Group, The Rail Recruitment Specialists are working with a £multimillion Global technology company, providing aftermarket solutions to driveline customers of products, on their search for a Business Development Manager. 

Opportunity

Requirement for an commercially aware BDM, ready to take the rail division of this market leader from £15m to £20million and beyond, with increased focus on sales and customer development. Establishing yourself as a commercial leader with engineering acumen, you will be in a prime stance for progression, and the sales division of the company look to succession plan. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage customer enquiries for parts / overhaul / service requirements – work with the team to provide commercially viable solutions.
  • Proactively work with clients to maintain relationships and develop opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to customers.

Location:

Position can be based anywhere and is remote. However, the incumbent will need to be in Croydon when requested (e.g. every 1-2 weeks), but mainly visiting customers on a regular basis. 

Essential criteria: 

  • 5 years' of experience in Sales in UK Rail sector
  • Excellent knowledge of UK Rail industry
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical rail components, electrical systems knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Good experience of key account management.
