 I am working with a family owned industrial lighting business. Seeking an experienced BDM from the lighting sector, working on commercial projects. This role provides flexible working, based from home and in the field. An ideal candidate will live in the London area, and will be driven to bring in new business. Required is someone with a proven sales record within the lighting industry, with a keen attitude to learn and develop. You will be working independently on a day-to-day basis and will be required to travel to various client or site meetings, so you should be flexible around client & project demands.

Job role:

Creating sales opportunities from prospecting calls and emails, collecting any inbound leads generating from marketing, and feeding back to them analytics on our CRM system. You will have access to LinkedIn sales navigator, with a separate lead generation tool to fast-track finding new leads and live projects.

Using existing leads in your region via our CRM system to generate sales opportunities, logging progress and projects. Your projects will be quoted from the sales office, and will be your responsibility to check these quotations are correct to the project specification before you send these.

Making outbound calls and emails to prospects to follow up on live, and future projects. It is your responsibility to ensure you have a healthy pipeline of opportunities, quotes and orders. Collaborating with colleagues on projects for any necessary support and guidance to ensure your projects are delivered to the best of your ability for your clients.
