Our local authority client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their busy team based in Chichester. Full details below:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- As our new Business Development Manager, you will help identify, grow and manage the multi-million pound pipeline of energy projects required to ensure we meet our energy, carbon and sustainability objectives.
- As the 'face’ of Energy Services, you will develop and maintain productive partnerships internally and with other organisations across the county, understanding their energy and carbon ambitions and developing our offer to help achieve them. Innovation will be key to delivering this.
- Knowing your energy projects are working properly is also critical when making the case for future developments, so you’ll get visibility of the performance of our own energy assets, helping you to ensure their productivity matches that described in the business cases.
- You will represent Energy Services and the County Council at a regional and national level, ensuring our pipeline of projects and existing energy assets are future proofed against policy, regulatory and financial risk.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Ability to grow and develop our energy portfolio and pipeline by fostering and developing relationships with stakeholders and partners. You will work to improve our financial standing by understanding the energy market and through careful strategic planning of opportunities.
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Energy Management, Business Management or a related discipline or comparable experience in industry.
- Knowledge of Local Government and its responsibilities for sustainability, energy, economy or business studies.
