Business Development Manager - Franchise Estate Agency Company

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join a leading independent agency, who are expanding their business through a franchise network. You will play a pivotal role in all aspects of the company’s growth strategy, from marketing and recruitment to operational excellence. You will be the architect of their expansion, building strong relationships and securing the resources needed to achieve ambitious targets.

Responsibilities:
Franchise Growth:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for franchisee recruitment, targeting both self-employed agents and strategic partnerships.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential franchisees, ensuring they understand our brand and value proposition.
  • Manage the entire franchising process, from lead generation to Onboarding.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing franchisees, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure franchisee retention and satisfaction.

Business Promotion and Advertising:

  • Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns to raise brand awareness and attract new agents and franchisees.
  • Manage advertising budgets and negotiate with media partners to secure optimal reach and value.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of our online presence, including website and social media channels.

Recruitment and Training:

  • Recruit talented self-employed and partnership agents, ensuring they align with our brand values and culture.
  • Manage the Onboarding process for new franchisees.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing franchisees, covering operational procedures, marketing strategies, and sales techniques.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the franchise network.

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage and optimise all aspects of our daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity across the franchise network.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on progress towards growth targets.

Building Relationships:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including franchisees, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and services.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, building brand awareness and fostering new partnerships.
  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven track record of success in business development and growth, ideally within a franchise environment.
  • Understanding of the property market, traditional, online & hybrid estate agency models.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, training, and team development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business software.
