The firm are seeking a dynamic, results-focused business development professional to help and advise partners on continuing the exciting growth and development. Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Business Development Manager, Private Equity, the successful candidate will support the firm's strategic and business development initiatives. The primary function of the role is to help the practice fulfil its strategic and very demanding growth objectives through the implementation of a range of strategic and business development initiatives with a primary focus to support the strategic planning and implementation processes at EMEA level, including ensuring effective initiatives and coordination across related practice and industry business plans. The Business Development Manager must improve business generation from key and priority clients, including relationship management responsibility of one or two clients, maximising opportunities which arise through the interplay of a cross-practice, cross-office approach. You will also be responsible for delivering marketing and business opportunities with existing and new clients; enhancing the image and reputation of the group and proactively ensuring information flows within Private Equity and from the group to the wider firm. Although the role is based in London, it will include a significant international dimension, ensuring that business development activities and initiatives are developed and coordinated across the firm’s global network.

For this particular role, it is essential that candidates have a sound track record of business development and communications experience, preferably at manager-level, within a law firm or professional services organisation. Prior experience and knowledge of working within the private equity industry and a relevant marketing or business qualification would be highly desirable. The successful candidate will also be commercially-minded, creative and possess a real passion for working in an international environment and within a global team.
