Job Title: Business Development Manager - Permanent Modular Off-Site Construction

Remuneration: £45,000-£60,000 basic + £60,000-£90,000 OTE Year One £80,000-£110,000 OTE Year Two Uncapped Commission

The role of the Business Development Manager - Permanent Modular Off-Site Construction will involve:

  • Field sales position selling large off-site construction, permanent modular spaces (permanent sales not hire)
  • Selling into education, healthcare, commercial and infrastructure sector projects
  • Mix of selling into with end users (NHS trusts, academies, cost consultants and architects) and through framework agreements with main contractors, design & building contractors, government frameworks (e.g. department for educations) etc.
  • £2m-£4m revenue target year One, £8m-£30m year two
  • Average order value is between £2m-£3m, but can go up to £10m+
  • Typically 6-18 months from enquiry to delivery
  • You will be required to advise on layout of modular buildings based upon the required footprint (e.g. double story / partial double story etc) and convey customer requirements to design, and commercial management via bid launch process
  • Fantastic internal support from dedicated Bid Manager and Marketing Manager, as well assistance from telesales regarding lead generation
  • Small proportion of time will be spent on construction sites, although the pre-construction team will be mainly responsible for this

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager - Permanent Modular Off-Site Construction with:

  • 2 years+ Off-site construction/ permanent modular field sales experience (permanent sales not hire)
  • Ideally field sales achievement of at least £4 million+ per annum
  • Commercially aware
  • Ability to close deals
  • Hunger/ appetite for new business
  • Ideally good knowledge of the construction, commercial, educational, infrastructure and healthcare sectors
