INTRO:

Henderson Brown is delighted to announce a partnership with a renowned Food Manufacturing business located in the East Midlands that offer an exceptional one of a kind opportunity.

Our client has a legacy of providing the highest service levels coupled with outstanding product quality to an array of customers in a diverse array of channels across the UK and International markets. They are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager OOH and Foodservice Team.

OVERVIEW:

This role is going to be challenging as they are a highly complex and extremely professional operation that offers a very rewarding environment to work with. The individual will need not only to be a first-rate Account Manager but also someone who operates with Rigour, Process and Structure concerning new business.

As a result, they are being quite specific in whom they are looking for, first class account management skills are taken as read, but they want energy, they want enthusiasm and they want someone who can deal not only with day to day commercial issues with existing customers but someone who can spot other opportunities with new customers across different markets and exploit them. The client has strong roots across all channels of sales in the food industry and therefore this is a priority, but also someone capable of driving growth within the food industry. Likewise, operating with good insights into category knowledge is important, thus allowing for those important category messages to be sold to each client when required.

PERSON SPEC:

We are looking for someone who can learn fast, problem-solve at speed, think laterally, and make rational decisions quickly, communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

The incoming incumbent must understand and appreciate that this is a fast-paced business, that is highly complex and therefore they will need to be comfortable with a short shelf life portfolio, operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment.

The successful candidates will hold themselves to the values that underpin the business and can both integrate and add value to the team. They will lead change and be a figurehead that defines success for other individuals in the commercial team.

Authenticity will be at the core of this individual, coupled with an incredible desire to succeed and a genuine nature to support the overall development of their new team will be key.
