Business Development Manager

Our client a forward-thinking IT company with their Head Office based in Cirencester is recruiting a Business Development Manager/Account Manager to join their team. Offering excellent benefits as stated below.

The Business Development Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Due to the nature of our client, you will need to pass a background check to BPSS Standard (for this you must have worked in the UK for a minimum of 3 years)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and customer stakeholders
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of business solutions and services according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of all initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepare reports on account status.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to identify and grow opportunities.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.

The right candidate must have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Proven work experience within a Sales or Account Manager role
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Solid experience with CRM software
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions and services to customer needs.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • There will be a requirement to travel, so a driving license is essential.

  • Salary in the range of £60k + commission + bonus
  • Hours of work Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm
