We are currently looking for a Business Development Account Manager to join our Trade and Government sales team in our London Headquarters.

Each Business Development Account Manager (BDAM) manages a territory of existing clients and is personally responsible for securing renewals, growing revenues via Passport (product) and Consulting capabilities, and ensuring that Euromonitor becomes a trusted, preferred research adviser for each client. The territory consists of very large Global Accounts (over £200K in renewal value), smaller accounts and regional accounts. Territory could be segmented by each vertical or have all types of clients included. Having previous experience selling into public sector accounts has a great advantage in the role.

Business Development Account Managers (BDAMs) are also tasked to drive Global Account Strategies and work collaboratively with their peers in different regions to create large scale global upsell opportunities. Business Development Account Managers (BDAMs) must be intelligent, positive, confident and self-motivated, keen to work closely with clients and drive the commercial agenda.

Revenues will come from:

  • Annual price increases on like-for-like renewal.
  • Significant revenue growth from syndicated upsell -BDAMs should be working the full Passport upsell agenda
  • Euromonitor International
  • Upsell to new offices or departments within existing clients
  • Upgrading Passport Category service to Full Passport granularity
  • Monetising account management by charging for analyst support (extractions, presentations, claim letters etc) whenever possible.
  • Custom research revenues - ensure all custom research capabilities are promoted to all clients.

Day to Day Responsibilities of the BDAM;

  • Secure contract renewal and grow revenues for each client.
  • Develop client relationships:
  • understand company organisation, strategy and priorities
  • grow network of users,
  • grow usage,
  • successfully convey benefits of Passport and Euromonitor’s methodology,
  • establish Passport as must-have,
  • develop partnership style relationships
  • Train users face-to-face or via online demos.
  • Provide expert research support to all clients, through detailed understanding of Euromonitor’s product portfolio and research methodology.
  • Encourage information sharing to improve quality of data in Passport.
  • Collaborate with industry teams: - develop product offering to meet the changing needs of our client base, - leverage research and industry expertise into the client base.

Requirements:

  • You will be a highly self-motivated professional with a proven track record managing client relationships and delivering incremental revenue in the B2B arena.
  • Networking and communication skills to uncover new opportunities and deepen client relationships.
  • Tenacity, drive, commercial awareness and persuasiveness to close deals.
  • Target oriented - ability to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Ability to manage workload across all clients, balancing proactive commercial activities with reactive client support (keeping the latter to a minimum by leveraging technical support and industry teams).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of consumer markets trends and dynamics preferable
  • Oral and written fluency in English and preferably one other European language, Italian or Spanish is preferred.
