Bus Workshop Technician / Engineer Required in Horsham, West Sussex
  • Pay: £40k upwards +  overtime 
  • Hours: 40 Hours per week Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm 
We are currently working with a national Multi franchised Bus Dealership who have been trading for nearly 30 successful years and counting. Our client has an excellent reputation in the passenger carrying vehicle sector and operate with over 6 different Bus brands and expanding their offering further. 

They are seeking an experienced PCV Technician who has at least 3 years experience as a PSV / PCV / Bus / HGV Technician to join and support the work of their Workshop team doing preventative maintenance on Buses and Coaches at our clients workshop. This is a crucial role to the success of the business, as such, the rewards and benefits they offer set them apart from other Bus Workshops and Bus Dealerships in their local area.

Within this Bus Technician Role some key requirements to be considered are: 
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of vehicles 
  • Ability to work under own initiative and work independently managing resources and time efficiently 
  • Work experience as a Technician within the PCV / HGV sector 
  • Full clean driving license - PSC preferable but not essential 
  • Qualified to NVQ / City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance and repair 
We would love to hear from experienced Bus Engineers, be that fresh to the PCV / Commercial sector or those who have started their progression journey to Master Technician / Foreman. 

Within this Bus Technician role your day to day duties will include but not limited too: 
  • Conduct thorough examinations and diagnostic assessments to pinpoint and address mechanical and electrical problems, such as axle and driveline issues.
  • Execute pre-delivery assessments, regular upkeep, preventive actions, and fixes to guarantee vehicle dependability and compliance with road safety standards.
  • Identify electrical malfunctions, including troubleshooting CAN networks.
  • Diagnose issues with heavy goods vehicle/passenger service vehicle air systems.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company protocols.
  • Employ diagnostic tools and keep updated on evolving technologies in the field.
  • Preserve precise documentation of maintenance, repairs, and assessments.
