Building Surveyor

Location: Blaenau Gwent

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

Autograph Recruitment are working with a Local Authority who are looking to appoint a qualified Building Surveyor as a result of internal promotion.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Team Manager (Building Assets) the Building Surveyor will be responsible for managing a portfolio of minor works, small capital projects and reactive maintenance jobs.

This role would suit a qualified Building Surveyor who works well in an autonomous role, able to manage a variety of different projects in a timely and cost effective way.

You will liaise internally with technical, facilities, H&S and procurement teams, as well as externally with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking building surveying work.
  • Technical due diligence.
  • Contract administration.
  • Comply with H&S policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Building Surveying.
  • Expertise in general building surveying.
  • Experience of working in a pro-active environment.

This role is being offered, initially, on a 6-month FTC with a view to a permanent role.
