Building Surveyor

Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy, are actively seeking a Building Surveyor to join them due to continued growth in their London Office. The successful candidate will be working across both advisory and consultant side, being involved in the more project focused side of their company.

These projects will range in values anywhere from £500k up to £6 Million in value. Projects typically include private refurbishments, major facades remediation, exterior renovation contracts and internal common parts and design works.

This will be an office-based role with site travels as required. Projects are nationwide however due to having different offices across the UK they attempt to make them as regional as possible.

Building Surveyor Position Overview - This Will Differ Dependent On Experience

• The building surveyor will be responsible for managing multiple projects at one time, acting as either contract administrator or as a lead consultant / project manager.
• Conduct defect analysis
• Conduct planned maintenance programming
• Adhere to landlord and tenant matters
• Party wall matters
• Reinstate cost assessments
• Provide general advice

Building Surveyor Position Requirements

• Knowledge of JCT Contracts is an essential - Knowledge of other contracts on top such NEC will be advantageous
• Previous experience in a similar position' minimum 2 years
• Dependent on experience and stage of your career, must want to pursue chartership status
• Full driving license
